The Panida Board of Directors announced that both the main theater and the adjacent Little Theater passed recent electrical inspections conducted by the Idaho Department of Occupational and Professional Licenses (DOPL) Electrical Inspection Department. The Little Theater cleared its inspection with no issues identified. The Main Theater inspection noted several items that needed correction, though officials emphasized those items were typical for a structure approaching its centennial and were not life-safety related.
Corrections Completed, State Signs Off
An independent third-party electrical contractor was brought in to address the items flagged during the Main Theater review. The State of Idaho conducted a final inspection on July 7, confirming that all identified work had been completed to satisfaction.
The Panida also commissioned a full electrical infrared inspection of the facility. During that process, one issue was identified in the Little Theater and corrected the same day it was found — a rapid response that underscored the board’s commitment to keeping the venue in safe operating condition.
OSHA Audit Closes With No Findings
The inspections came after an anonymous complaint prompted the Occupational Safety and Health Administration to conduct an independent audit of the theater. OSHA completed its review and closed the case on July 13 with no findings — a strong indication that the nearly 100-year-old building meets current workplace safety standards.
