A 64-year-old Sandpoint man died Tuesday evening after his pickup truck left the roadway and struck a tree on Garfield Bay Road near Sagle, Idaho, according to a report from spokesman.com.
Jay Lewis was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash happened at approximately 6:40 p.m. Lewis was driving a 1991 Ford F-150 at the time of the incident.
The Bonner County Sheriff’s Office responded along with the Coroner’s Office, EMS, and the Sandpoint Road and Bridge Department. Idaho State Police are leading the investigation into the cause of the crash.
