The Sandpoint Fire Department is holding its annual open house today, inviting residents to tour the facility and engage with emergency personnel. The event runs from 2 to 5 p.m. at the local fire station.
Officials have scheduled a variety of interactive activities for attendees. Visitors can participate in CPR practice sessions, watch live rope rescue demonstrations, and observe fire hose spraying. Children are encouraged to try a combat course and use an on-site bounce house.
In addition to the demonstrations, the department will provide snacks and allow guests to tour fire trucks. The open house offers community members a chance to meet local firefighters in a relaxed setting.
“We invite the whole family to attend and spend the afternoon at the fire station,” SFD officials said.
