Sandpoint Artists Open Garden Studio July 18 to Raise Funds for Bonner County Food Bank

Two Sandpoint artists are turning their showcase garden into a community fundraiser this month, hosting an art sale on Saturday, July 18, with every dollar of proceeds going directly to the Bonner Community Food Bank.

Artists Robens Napolitan and Tom Kramer will open their garden at 508 Forest Ave., Sandpoint from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Artwork will be priced primarily between $1 and $50, making the sale accessible to shoppers of all budgets. Cash, check, and credit cards are all accepted.

Visitors are also encouraged to bring non-perishable food items as donations, since the event doubles as a food drive alongside the art sale.

All Proceeds Benefit Local Food Assistance

The Bonner Community Food Bank provides supplemental food assistance to thousands of Bonner County residents each year. Its programs include grocery rescue partnerships and efforts to connect local families with nutritious food access. The organization serves as one of the region’s primary safety nets for households facing food insecurity.

Debbie Love, a staff member at the food bank, said the event captures something meaningful about the community’s spirit. “This is a beautiful example of neighbors helping neighbors,” she said.

With 100 percent of art sale proceeds directed to the food bank, the July 18 event offers North Idaho residents a way to support a local cause while picking up original artwork at approachable prices.

A Community Gathering Worth Marking on the Calendar

The garden setting at the Forest Avenue address is expected to provide a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere for the event. Organizers are encouraging broad community participation — whether through purchasing artwork, making a food donation at the door, or simply spreading the word.

The fundraiser follows a busy stretch of community activity in the Sandpoint area. Thousands turned out at Riverfront Park earlier this month to celebrate Independence Day, a reminder of the civic energy that defines Bonner County summers.

For those looking for other ways to support the broader North Idaho nonprofit community, Kristine Miller recently took over as board president of the United Way of North Idaho, signaling continued momentum for local charitable organizations heading into the second half of 2026.

The Bonner Community Food Bank art sale and food drive takes place Saturday, July 18, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 508 Forest Ave. in Sandpoint. No admission is charged.
