The Panhandle Blues Fest is celebrating its 10th anniversary this month, returning to Wendy & Whitey’s Wooded Acres in Oldtown. As first reported by Sandpoint Reader, the two-day musical event takes place Sept. 11-12 at the west Bonner County venue located at 2888 Freeman Lake Rd.
The festival features a lineup of regional bands performing across both nights. Friday’s performances begin with Iron & Ivory from 4:30 to 5:15 p.m., followed by Meghan Sullivan from 5:30 to 7 p.m., and Meat Sweatz headlining from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Saturday’s schedule starts with Maneyaxe performing from noon to 2 p.m. The Vaughn Jensen Band takes the stage from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., followed by Sammy Eubanks from 5 to 7 p.m. The day concludes with the Bobby Patterson Band playing from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Organizers are also hosting an open mic night on Friday evening for local musicians. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs for seating throughout the wooded venue. Local vendors will provide food and beverages at the site.
Dry camping is available on-site for $10 per night. Proceeds from camping fees support local music departments, helping fund educational programs in the region.

The festival continues a tradition of bringing live music to north Idaho communities. Similar regional events have drawn crowds throughout the season, including recent gatherings like the 33rd Annual Fall Fest at Schweitzer Mountain and the upcoming Sand Creek Regatta.
