Access Restricted Near Priest Lake
All vehicular and foot traffic is now barred from reaching Chimney Rock, Mount Roothaan, Fault Lake, Hunt Lake, and Gunsight Peak. The closures impact critical entry points along Idaho Department of Lands (IDL) Road 25 and IDL Road 241. Specifically, the trailheads for Chimney Rock and Mount Roothaan are blocked at the end of IDL Road 25, while the entrance to Hunt Lake, Fault Lake, and Gunsight Peak has been sealed off at IDL Road 241.
This order applies to all motorized and non-motorized public use. The decision aims to prioritize the safety of both residents and the crews engaged in suppression efforts.
