A North Idaho musical trio will ring in Independence Day with a free performance Saturday evening at Kootenai River Brewing Company in Bonners Ferry, offering locals an outdoor concert ahead of the area’s traditional fireworks displays.
Spool Effect, featuring vocalist and guitarist Kevin Dye, bassist Luke Zohn, and drummer Tyler Pearson, will perform from 6 to 9 p.m. in the brewery’s hop yard at 6424 Riverside Street. The band draws musical elements from reggae, rock, funk, jazz, and blues, creating a blend suited for casual holiday gatherings.
The brewery will offer food and drink specials throughout the performance, making the event a full evening destination for families and community members. The show is open to all ages, providing an opportunity for residents across Bonner County to celebrate before heading to fireworks at the Sandpoint Lions Club or other local venues.
Spool Effect formed within the North Idaho music community and has built a following for their genre-blending approach. The outdoor venue capitalizes on the region’s summer weather and scenic brewery setting, transforming the holiday into more than a brief fireworks event.
The concert gives Bonners Ferry residents a pre-fireworks entertainment option while supporting a local business, part of the broader Fourth of July activities taking place across the county this weekend.
