Northside Fire received the alarm at 7:37 p.m. and was joined by four additional agencies: Selkirk Fire/Rescue & EMS, the Sandpoint Fire Department, Sam Owen Fire Department, and the Timberlake Fire Protection District. Firefighters worked for nearly four hours before bringing the blaze under control at 11:23 p.m. Crews then remained on scene through the night to conduct overhaul and monitoring operations.

Officials noted the overhaul phase of the operation was significantly more demanding than what responding units typically encounter at structure fires. The fire was confirmed contained to its point of origin, and no injuries were reported among either fire personnel or civilians on scene.
