2026 IDHSAA 5A Baseball Championship – Final Skyview vs. Sandpoint – 05/16/2026 | Live & On Demand

Idaho Falls, Idaho — The Sandpoint Bulldogs varsity baseball program competed in the 2026 Idaho High School Activities Association (IDHSAA) 5A Baseball Championship final against the Skyview Hawks on Saturday, May 16, with first pitch scheduled for 2:00 p.m. MDT in Idaho Falls.

The title game marked the culmination of the 5A postseason bracket, pitting Sandpoint High School against Skyview High School in what represented the highest-stakes contest of the spring baseball calendar for both programs. Sandpoint’s run to the championship game continued a strong postseason stretch for the Bulldogs. Earlier in the playoffs, Sandpoint secured a 12-2 victory over Idaho Falls in the 5A Super Regional Championship, powered by a grand slam from standout performer Inge.

The 5A classification includes some of Idaho’s largest high school programs, making a championship appearance a significant achievement for the North Idaho school. Sandpoint’s presence in the final reflects a competitive season for the Bonner County program and its coaching staff.

What Comes Next

With the championship game now in the books, the Sandpoint baseball program will turn its attention to the offseason and roster development heading into the 2026-27 academic year. Championship results and any further postseason honors from the IDHSAA will be posted through official association channels. Bonner County News will continue to follow Sandpoint High School athletics through the remainder of the spring sports season. For fans looking for summer recreational activities, Idaho is also offering free state park access on July 4 as part of the America250 celebration — a fitting way for area families to celebrate the summer ahead.
