The Litehouse YMCA in Sandpoint is hosting a community fair Wednesday, July 22, designed to bring neighbors together for an afternoon of outdoor-themed activities and connection.
The event, titled “Campfire Across America,” runs from 2 to 6 p.m. at the YMCA facility, located at 1905 Pine Street. The gathering will feature local businesses, nonprofits, service organizations, and vendors alongside family-oriented recreation.
Activities planned include arts and crafts stations, family games, a bounce house, s’mores preparation, and hot dog roasting. The program aims to recreate a camping atmosphere in a community setting, bringing accessible outdoor recreation closer to home for families unable to travel for traditional camping experiences.
The YMCA emphasizes the event’s focus on recreation, connection, and community engagement. Families interested in attending are encouraged to bring children and enjoy the free or low-cost activities throughout the afternoon.
The Sandpoint community has hosted several family-oriented gatherings this summer. Earlier this year, the Ponderay Bike Rodeo brought safety lessons and prizes to young cyclists, while Sandpoint’s Summer Festival unveiled this year’s fine art poster.
